Gary Frashier, M.B.A � Executive Chairman of the Board & Co-Program/Project Team Leader for the ASC 101 Development Program
Gary is the President and Principal of Management Associates and brings extensive experience in life science company transactions and commercial operations. Prior to founding Management Associates in 1999, Mr. Frashier served as President and Chief Executive Officer of OSI Pharmaceuticals, a drug discovery company, from 1990 through 1998, and also as its Chairman of the Board from 1997 to 2000. During his tenure at OSI, the leading cancer drug "Tarceva" was discovered by OSI and it is now sold together with Genentech and Roche. Gary was instrumental in establishing strategic alliances with Pfizer, Hoechst, Sankyo, Roche and American Home Products and raised over $150 million from a combination of equity financings, grant awards, milestone payments and up-front fees. OSI also achieved a $1.3B market cap and was Wall Street's best performing stock in 2000 under Gary 's leadership.
Lynnet Koh, M.B.A. � CEO/Founder and Co-Program/Project Team Leader of the ASC 101 Development Program
Lynnet is a proven serial entrepreneur who championed and led the successful development of product/technology innovations that transformed industries/markets and delivered over $2.5B in new revenues. �Home-runs� include the first Caller ID in the world (AT&T Bell Laboratories), the world�s first generation wireless systems that set the industry benchmarks for mobility, portability and quality (AT&T Bell Laboratories), first-generation Voice over Internet System (Cisco Systems). Lynnet has also raised over $90MM as a corporate intrapreuner, led the financial and market performance turnaround of the AT&T Consumer Products business. Previous senior leadership positions including Strategic Business Unit Head and VP of Product Management/Marketing. MIT educated, early brand management training at Proctor & Gamble.
Arthur M. Bruskin, Ph.D. � Chief Scientific Officer
Dr. Bruskin was previously Executive Vice President, Global Research, OSI Pharmaceuticals, Inc. He was responsible for all of OSI�s preclinical research in the areas of Oncology and Diabetes and was involved in the discovery and development of Tarceva. After leaving OSI in 2002, Dr. Bruskin has been the Chief Scientific Officer of Interpath Pharmaceuticals Inc. (2005-2006) and the Chief Operating Officer of Eutropics Pharmaceuticals Inc. (2006-2008). He also serves on the Board of Directors of Tekmira Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
Linda Paradiso, D.V.M., M.B.A. � Chief Development Officer
Dr. Paradiso was previously Global Head of Oncology Regulatory Affairs, Amgen, Inc.,Oncology Clinical Development Therapy Area Head for Pfizer�s Global R&D laboratories in La Jolla, CA, Vice President of Clinical and Regulatoryl Affairs, Tanox, Inc., (now Genentech), Inc., Senior Vice President of Cllnical and Regulatory Affairs, Salmedix, Inc., (now Cephalon), Head of Clinical Research, Agouron Pharmaceuticals (now Pfizer). Dr. Paradiso started her career at Parke-Davis as a toxicologist and took on positions of increasing responsibility within the Warner-Lambert organization. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Texas Life Science Center.
Leonard Miller, Ph.D. � Vice President, Research/Co-Founder
Dr. Miller is a former Senior Scientific Investigator, Gensia Pharmaceuticals, Inc., and Chief, Lab Neuroscience, VAMC, NIH, NINDS.
William Jay Treat, Ph.D. � Vice President, Manufacturing
Dr. Treat was previously the COO of AVID BioSciences, a contract CMO. He was responsible for the R&D deparments at Irvine Scientific developing cell culture media and overseeing the development of new procedures and reagents for assisted in vitro fertilization. He also served as Director of Manufacturing at BioWhittaker that was subsequently purchased by Cambrex where he served as Sr. Dir. Marketing. For the last 9 years he has severed on the Texas A&M University Chemical Engineering Scientific Advisory Board.
Richard Lai Fatt, Ph.D. � Vice President, Business Development
Richard�s previous positions include VP of Business Development at Isis Pharmaceuticals, VP of Corporate Development at Kalypsys and at Nventa, Director of Business Development at DuPont Merck.
